Nature is our oldest teacher, the outdoors our first classroom.

Terra BIRDS was founded to address the challenging educational, environmental, and socio-economic issues we are collectively facing through our innovative, multi-faceted, hands-on education programs that focus on environmental sustainability and youth empowerment. We recognize that a key to make lasting, positive changes lies in empowering youth with knowledge, skills and self-confidence that is accomplished through collaborative, just, and sustainability-oriented education.

We have been providing schools and teachers in Flagstaff, Arizona, with garden programs that engage students as the stewards of their school grounds, urban habitats and garden spaces since 2011. We not only grow healthy food in our school and community gardens, we grow healthy kids, empowered youth, and a strong community.
